manchester blog awards

Some good news to brighten up a particularly grey and damp Manchester day - this blog has been shortlisted for the Manchester blog awards! It's been nominated for the categories of 'best new blog' and 'best personal blog'. Hurrah!

And hurrah also to all the other excellent blogs which have been shortlisted for this year's awards, and especially some of my personal favourites - nine chains to the moon, every day I lie a little, chicken and pies, diary of a bluestocking and quit this pampered town. You can check out the full shortlist here or there's also a list here on delicious, though I have to admit I'm still not entirely sure quite what that is.

hi there katherine,

belated cheers for yr no point in not being friends review! - also: congratulations on yr blog awards shortlisting! a day has passed since i found out i'd been shortlisted myself and i still haven't fully processed the news. it all feels very strange to me - but also very good and exciting at the same time!

Hooray!

will you write an acceptance speech? You probably should... you have double the chance of winning by being in two categories, mathematically. I think. x

thanks richard! and many congratulations to you to. it is quite a strange business isn't it?

sally - yes it is very nice to be in two categories but also mathematically twice as scary. I am very intrigued about the big studded belt though. Do you think maybe it is like one of those wrestling belts, except perhaps it says "BLOG" in big gold letters on the front?
